'92 F150 fuel switch

The fuel switch on the dash of my pickup has broken free of the dash panel and popped back inside the panel. This makes it very difficult for me to switch tanks. What is involved in getting behind the faceplate of the instrument panel so I can repair this? It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult but I've no idea what to expect or what I might break.

To remove the black instrument cluster surround/bezel, you need to pop off the 2 trim peices that match the long one going accross to the passenger side of the dash. Then there are 4 I think small bolts. After removing those you need to pull the headlight **** off. That is really the worst part of the whole thing. You have to depress a tab on it and pull pretty had usually. I'm alsways afraid of breaking it. Also, If you truck is automatic it helps to pu the gear shifter in L. You can do that by just turning the key forward and not to on. That way everything won't be energized.

Depending on what is broken your best bet is an ebay bezel or a used switch. Glueing doesn't seem to work very well.
