i have an early 99 f250 2wd
the truck has the original cps to my knowledge ... is this the black one?
i got a letter from the po with recall info but from what i remeber the original is better than the replacement.. am i right?
i would take it in for recall but i dont wanna lose a the perfectly good one that is in the truck
maybe someone has a totally shot one i can trade in for the recalled one
From what I'e read some of the guys have just "walked -in to FORD and ASKED for the new replacement. Ford Marks it down as DONE and it's yours. PLan on Going this week for mine. Let you know how it goes. ( make sure you have your vin# with you or recall letter)
they are Blue (ithink orig.) grey replcement, and Black that everybody wants from IH. (feed a cold starve a cold/fever ???)
If you can get a black IH one then get it. But you're probably not going to find one. If the one you have is working well, then leave it be and get a spare gray one to keep in the glove box. I would spend $20 of my own money for a spare rather than have a perfectly good one swapped out at the dealer for who knows what.
