So, got my truck back finally today for the third repair. Here's the chronology of my truck since I've owned it:
1st repair, Airbag light, new sensor, new switch: $400
2nd Repair, New EGR Cooler, new Oil Cooler, new headgaskets, ARP headstuds, new turbo. Total Approx: $7k
3rd Repairs, (Transfer Case locked up and blew apart) New TC, new front driveshaft, new tranny shift linkage, new Fuel Pump, New wiring harness, total: $4800.
So, I've owned it since May 9th, 69 days...It's been in the shop 32 of those days. Total repairs over $13k. I have only paid the cost of the ARP headstuds.
So my question is, do I now have a good truck or should I trade it in??
I would think that as much as you have spent on repairs, you almost have to keep it. As previously stated, you've got a completely rebuilt drivetrain with upgraded components...keep it!

Keep it at this point! It should run out for a while! Hine sight is always 20/20, I would have installed a Cummins with all the money you have spent! The first $5,000 dollar repair bill that I get, I won't do the repair, I'll do the Cummins conversion at that point!! The Cummins coversion runs between 8-10K........ depending on what you pay for your motor!!
k, thanks for the feedback...I guess I didn't make it clear, the only thing I paid for out of the $13k is around $800 for the ARP headstuds....I wouldn't have spent another $13k on it....
