Oil additives

Hi all. I'm doing some research on Lucas Oil additives and wondered if any of the regulars on this forum uses or has used Lucas in a powerstroke. I'm not a big fan of any oil additives but there are a lot of folks who swear by this stuff. Thanks in advance.

If you use it you have to run the synthetic Lucas. I've never used it in my Powerstroke just straight oil. Have a buddy who runs it and he swears by it.

Thanks for the info. My question comes from past experience with the Internationalized version of this engine which is known as a T444E. The early ones had problems with oil foaming which does not work well with HEUI fuel systems. I'm thinking the Lucas would dilute the anti foaming agents that are already blended into the oil when it's refined.

The standard Lucas is bad news for the Powerstroke/T444E. DON'T USE IT! But they do have a synthetic lucas that is specifically made for the PSD/T444E and I have heard others say it works well.

I've long considered most additives to be the proverbial snake oil but on the other hand I'm careful to get the facts straight before I open my mouth.
