scameron what do you mean they are not in best shape?? they look cracked or they have a lot of oil on them??
shawn what tune do you have from eric. i have xtreme street and when i punch the throttle all i get is alot alot of smoke and after about a few seconds the truck spools up and goes. in none of my tunes that i have do my trucks tires spin when i punch the throttle from a dead stop. how do i know if my vanes are stuck??
I run the xtreme street also... mainly for gas mileage.if i get on it a little at a dead stop the boost goes up to about 22 to 28 till i run through the gears and then its at a constant 28 till i let off of it. I haven't hammered it wot from a dead stop cause i don't wanna pay that big bill for head gaskets yet. If i push it a little at 60mph i'll see 32lbs of boost. Have you done the vgt relearn procedure for the turbo? It's in the tech folder... you might try that with it stock and then see what happens. I don't know much to tell ya but this is stuff i'd try if mine was doing what yours is doing.
i did the vgt relearn last year it really didnt help. i am now in the xtreme street mode and when i wot it at a dead stop the truck takes a while to spool up and a tone of black smoke when it start to go it only about 22psi if i am goin up a hill or when the tranny changes the boost starts to creap up 23 24 up to prob. 27 28. this is with the bd boost builder off.
