I've tried two Advance Auto stores so far but I can't find the Valvoline 5w-40 Synthetic on their shelves. Should I go to Autozone or somewhere else? They did have the Rotella T but I've read a few bad things and injector problems associated with it.
I'd run the Rotella but just can't afford for it to tear something up. Anyone else running it in their 04 6.0l?
There are many, many people running Rotella T. There are no issues with it. There are rumors and accusations regarding Rotella T causing problems, absolutely no truth to any of them.
I run Mobil 1. I buy it from amazon. Running around to various parts stores to round up 15 quarts became a chore. Free shipping. Right now the Mobil 1 5w-40 TD Syn is $38.88 with a rebate for a 6 pack. No one around here can touch that price.
Rotella won't hurt your truck in fact it will like it. By the way, you haven't looked to hard for that oil if after 2 visits to the same chain you want others to do your leg work!

Yeah think I will try the Rotella. And I'm not looking for anyone to do any "leg work" But it would be nice to know where everyone else is buying their oil from. I prefer only doing business with Advance Auto parts and don't like going to AutoZone(jerks). As for Pepboys and Napa they are too far away from me.

To avoid the injector issue...you can run the Rotella and add Hot Shot's Secret. It was designed and tested for the 6.0. You can find it on the front page of that site too.
