lower ball joint

I just replaced the tone ring for the abs on the front of my daughters 01 Escape when i was putting it back together the boot ripped and the lower ball joint now has play in it.Has anyone installed a new ball joint in the lower control arm?Or get a new lower with ball joint installed already?and is it easy to do. thanks
