Well its that time again, new pads and rotors time. I have been looking around for some upgraded rotors and a high performance brake pad but i cant seem to find anything for these dam trucks. Everything out there is for the stupid sooperduty. Does anyone know of some performance upgrades for our front brakes?
Search for Hawk Pads. For Rotors Napa list some drilled and slotted rotors for our trucks. Expect to pay between $130-180 each for them! I would get standard rotors and hawk pads
Sweet that's exactly the info that I was looking for. Thanks TJ. Can I get these pads at a local parts store i.e. Autozone, Advanced Auto, or Car Quest?
Ok thanks. I found a few places that have those pads and also have cross drilled rotors. I'm going to try napa first for rotors but atleast I have an idea what they're going for online. Thanks TJ
Thanks Larry. I took a look at there site, they are considerably cheaper than the rest of the places I've looked. How is the quality of the rotors that you got and which ones did you go with?
Sorry I don't know anything about them I just found the site when I was searching hawk pads and they came up as a vendor in my area for hawk pads and I checked out the site and thought you may want to see it
CROSS-DRILLED & SLOTTED (BLACK) FRONT SET - TWO (2) ROTORS #CB-65053 The quality is very nice. My truck is a 97' F350 SRW. I have rear disc also, we drilled the holes in them only, no slots
I have had them on my 97' for about 6 months. I never had a problem with my brakes, just wanted drilled disc's, so I did it. Not much different in the brakes for me, I don't tow anything.
http://www.autoparts123.com/item.wws...063&mfr=LONGER LIFE DRUMS/ROTORS&weight=25 Here is a good site for stock rotors. I have purchased rotors from them with no problem, they are very OEM looking and also they have free shipping on them.
