Welcome to FTE Harry! I posted a new thread about my truck and the A/C problem in the 99-03 PSD forum. I still haven't got it to my buddies shop for an evaluation, but when I do, I'll be sure to let everyone know.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...c-problem.html Here's the link to that thread. Just put up a post in it and when I get some answers, you'll know.

I recently replaced the a/c clutch on an OBS truck that uses the same design clutch. I have one thing to add:

If you remove the clutch plate, keep track of the shims. If you remove any, put them on the bolt before you replace it. I bought a full kit with a full shim pack. There were several shims left over and I stowed them under the head of the bolt. They will be there in the future if I need to sort through them to get the right shim stack height.

You can buy a kit that has the bolts and shims from most auto parts stores. If you can't get the right clearance with the old shims look for one of these kits.

Great work!! I guess you saw all the recent posts about ac mods too things like this are why I love FTE. Taking time out of YOUR day to help some people you haven't even met in person. That says a lot about your character, thanks for your hard work I may be doing one of these mods now!

Pete I also want to add a few items that may help, the pictures I think would be nice to have especially the one with the valve labeled (see pic)

Least I can do to contribute to the consolidation of a great mod, also I am including the AutoZone part numbers (pics too) for anyone wanting either valve

Dual valve (return valve)

Single inline valve:

Link to my build thread with the A/C mod pics (showing the hook up of the 4 way valve): (post 18)

I hope the links or posts will help you some!!
