I bumped it up to high performance last weekend after I upgraded the air filter and what a difference. In recent days it started throwing SES errors pointing to either a loose injector plug under the valve cover (very common apparently) or a bad injector. I would lean toward the first since the programmer is meant to work with stock trucks. I have parked it until this weekend when I can pop the valve covers off and take a peek.
That is exactly the problem my dads truck had. Go on the 7.3 forum and do a search. There are some great posts w/pictures. It is a real job taking the valve covers off on those beasts. If you want you can have a bay of my garage and use of tools. I will be around all day unloading and cleaning the race truck, or cutting grass, what ever seeems important to me that day
As long as no "Ford specific" tools are required I should be fine. I have more tools than most, and although my garage is a little too short to fit my truck in it, I don't mind working in the driveway.
OK, Just thought I would offer, I have done it once, and I think Aarons coming up Saturday to help with the race truck. Call if you need anything or have any questions.
