Burning Antifreeze?????

My tension pulley broke on the interstate and truck got hot as I pulled off the road. After getting towed and repaired, I started burning antifreeze and truck was hydrolocking in the mornings. It woulld have white smoke out of the exhaust pipe in the morning until I guess the engine got heated up. I just installed a egr bypass kit and Im still burning antifreeze. Im out of warranty and needing some powerstroke knowledge to assist me!!! Is it leaning more towards a warped head or blown gasket?? Theres no antifreeze puking from the degas bottle, I know that was the sign when I had to have the head gaskets replaced 70k ago. Any ideas on things to check please dont hesitate

Sounds like you are leaking antifreeze out of your EGR cooler thus the white smoke and missing antifreeze

if you hydrolocking sounds like you have cracked cylinder wall, and seeping antifreze or you have blown head gasker( worped head)
do the compression check on all cylinders and you find out.
i had cracked cylinder wall in my toyota and it was not puking AF it was burning it, and in am i had hard time starting it. was caused by overheating it too.
i hope im wrong here. but you future dont look so good right now.

Is it possible to still be leaking antifreeze at the EGR Cooler after installing the bypass kit? Its not leaking nearly as much as it did before I installed the kit. I had to add a half gallon today after driving 160 miles and before I was adding up to two gallons a day.

I would be inclined to believe that you have a cylinder head sealing problem due to the overheating. Could be warped or cracked head, head gaskets, or cylinder liner.

What kind of EGR bypass was installed? It is possible it wasn't done the correct way.
