So... I have an E4OD... I want to have a new E4OD... I need a rebuild kit and a book an/or some good intructions or something. Any suggestions?

What exactly are you looking for? Improved shift characteristics? Better HP and Torque holding capabilities? Just a brand new E40D? High milage rebuild?

I'm looking to rebuild the tranni after I cooked it... I think the TC is dead.. I would love to have it shift better and put out a little more torque... what can I do? How ths rebuild gonna go? can I do it myself? I reallt need advice on what kit and/or books I should get to do it.

I'd reall ylike to do it myself.. the budjet is kinda tight you know... and labor is always expensive.. all I've got is time!

For a book, get a Ford shop manual.

You'll need special tools to do the rebuild. I've seen E4OD tool kits go for $100 to $250 on EBay (that's really high compared to most other Ford tool kits sold on EBay). None of the E4OD tools seem to be extra special - you could make all of them yourself if you had a drill press, perhaps a lathe, or a milling machine.
