truck quitting while driving

thanks for the quick replies. the 1st thing i did was check the oil level and it was still clean and full. i did try running the truck with the edge set to stock and it didn't make a difference. i just replaced the fuel filter just in case (and it needed to be done anyway) but that didn't help. I wasn't aware that the edge for the 7.3 could read codes. Has anybody done this with it? I guess I'll read up on it and get that figured out. My truck is in the Kroger parking lot so it will be tomorrow before I can get back over to it. Should the programmer still have codes in it even if the check engine light didn't come on?
