sjahnke, everything I have read says that these are sealer free installs, so no I did not put bytul in first. I would be afraid of getting it on the glass and have it look like sh*$. I am terrible with caulking so I would assume that I would be no better with butyl on a gasket.
I believe you'll need to remove the windshield and start over......just kidding(the Lord will get me for this one as I'll have to install my windshield in the coming year)!!! Good luck!
Really the '53 says to use a sealer, wonder why they changed that? Right about now I would love to have it sealed. I am not getting a lot of water, just enough to be a pain.
Carnut122- I see not humor in that, if you read the whole thread you will see how hard it was for me to get this in once. Another reason I just want it to work. (although cant say I wouldnt have take the same shot at somebody else)
