You don't need someone to install it for you. You can do it yourself!
And if you don't want to do a 'chip', you can have Jody load up three tunes on a SCT programmer and it simply plugs in to your OBD port and uploads the tune to the PCM. Then unplug it and your off. Nothing to mount or mess with. The only downside with the SCT programmer is you can't change tunes on the fly and it only holds 3. But it does have data logging capability, it reads and clears DTCs.
On a scale of 1-10 for doing things, I am a 1. I don't have many tools, and if I get a DP I want gauges.Their is no way in hell I can do that. Just ask my wife, she tells me "don't touch anything".
most programers are really easy to install. The hardest thing to do is the pyro meter where you have to drill a hole in you exhuast and tap it and get all the metal shavings out. Other then that its pretty easy. My edge you just plug it into your ecm port and thats about it to reprogram it. The DP is a little more involved.

If you're willing to make a drive to TN for Clay's East event in August. I'm sure there will be some wrench turners that will have you rolling in no time. If I'm there, I'll help for sure.
I have a Edge Evo 2 and it's Ok for a little power. With a 6 speed the tow setting is usless. I run it in the race setting all the time unless I'm towing something more than my bass boat. The good thing is that I already have my gauges now. Installing a Pyrometer is not that hard either because I had to do it with the Edge. As far as installing a chip here is a link for that. Welcome to guzzle's DP Tuner's Chip Installation Web Page If you go with a chip you will have to get your PCM code which may require removal of your PCM, which has to be done to install it anyway. It did mine because I couldnt read the sticker on the side. It takes a 8mm and 10mm socket to get it out. No biggy....
I hope to be installing a PHP(power hungry performance) chip here in the near future but we will have to see how things go.
Barry, thanks for that offer.I would love to come to that event. When and were in TN is it? If I could get the chip and gauges put in, it would be worth it.No one in Rochester NY does that.
I would almost use my whole year milage with that trip.

Read up on this https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...-event-13.html. The last page says most of what you need. Get in touch with Clay at RiffRaff and tell him what you want and he can send it or bring it to you. He has the chips, gauges and anything else you need. Heck, he might even help with the install.
