Looking for some opinions on a truck I just found for sale. It is a 1997 F350 (single rear wheel) Crew Cab with 4 wheel drive (long bed). XLT trim, Diesel engine, automatic transmission with only 74,000 miles. The front end has had necessary maintenance (ball joints). Dealer is asking $16,000. What do you think?

For the Miles, I'd say it is worth it.

I was about to buy one that had 129K on it but he wouldn't even come down to 16.

 

A 97 with that few a miles is a rare bird indeed. I agree with the last guy. It seems like anything with your mileage up until 140,000 are the same price depending on condition. Isd say buy it. Ive seen a regular cab 1999 7.3 PSD with 105,000 miles bring 16,500 at auction and it was far from perfect. I was shocked. Them trucks really hold there value.

Sounds just like my truck but I have 110K miles on it. I'd grab it if the test on the antifreeze shows that the FW-16 additive has been maintained. Just beware of the E4OD trani.GOOD LUCK !!
