2002 f-250 7.3 p.s.4x4 xlt auto O.D.
580,000 km aprox.250,000 miles
Miles are 95% pulling miles 15/40 conventional oil, same oil all the time.Regular maintanance[fluids&filters] A small problem started with the truck last week,it requires much longer cranking to start than normal sometimes it will stall after It starts running.I've been told maybe the high pressure oil pump,any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

My HPOP seems to drain over night. It got better when I replaced the injector o-rings. But It still happens sometimes. When It doesn't start right up, pull the plug from the top of the HPOP and stick a small screwdriver or something you can't drop inside, as a dipstick. It will probably come up dry. I used to carry a squirt bottle full of oil to refill the resevoir, and it will start right up.
