Does anyone know where I can get a PSOM for my truck. I have a 95 F150 5.8 XLT Automatic 4x4. I read a number of the postings. My ABS light is on, my Speedo stopped working and the OD light is blinking. It's also shifting hard. This happend came on all of a sudden. I drove the truck was fine then went to use it another day and all the problems came. I changed the sensor on the diff so now I'm thinking I need a PSOM. I tried a few junk yards but no one has it. Any help is greatly appreciated. I don't see a sensor on the tranny as some post referred to.

it is on the rear of the instrument cluster.
go to top of this page, find articles/specs and look for tach changeover.
it has how to take cluster out and where the psom is.

If you have E4OD, it is refered to as the MLPS. It is located where the shift cable goes to tranny near where the driver's feet are. There are updated versions to it and they need to be adjusted properly. Look in a repair manual for the adjustment procedure.

Many 95's have had a bad PSOM [solder connections], for some reason.
Maybe it was the "new guy's" fault.
It sounds more like you have a bad fuse.
It would be fuse #8 or 18 in your IP fuse panel.
As far as the PSOM goes as I think it was said above.
You have to go to a salvage yard and buy a Cluster out of a 1992-1996 truck, van or Bronco.
Take the PSOM out of the cluster and put it in your cluster and put your cluster back in.
The cluster if you get one without the tachometer it should cost you about $30.00.
Try to get one out of a 94-96 if you can as they improved something in them in those years.
Check the tire size in the cluster after you put it back in and if it is close leave it alone, if not put in a new value. You will have the mileage of the truck the PSOM was taken out of. If mileage is to low you can put more mileage on it if you want to but you cannot take any off.
