I bought my 03 F250 a couple months ago and it came with a Astro Cap on it. I just put it back on to take a trip to Ocean City and realized that there is no locks on the handles. Does anyone know where I could go to get locks put on. Would a locksmith be able to put a new cylinder in or would I have to replace the handles? Thanks.
New handles would most likely be cheaper than a locksmith. However take a trip to your local Home Depot or Lowes, chances are you can find what you need.
I bought a set of replacement handles on ebay for mine for about $20. I wanted a set that didn't use the CH751 key that everybody and their brother seems to have a copy of.
The only peculiar thing to watch for is since your cap has two handles, you'll likely need to find a set that are keyed alike but twist in opposite directions which is why I ended up buying a set on ebay that were made for a truck cap.

Ok I am an Idiot. My cap does have locks because they are numbered for the keys, is there some way to get keys made for it or do I need to replace the locks.
I would think that you could either contact Astro to provide the numbers on the handles to have a set of keys made and shipped to you OR you could have a locksmith make a set of keys.
Give the numbers to the locksmith, hand him 6 bucks for replacements and your on your way!! I took my handles on my Glasstite and took them in-hand to my locksmith, he read the numbers and said, you can go put them back on your shell now. Well then...
Look at the lock cylinder. If there is a code that starts with a J and has three numbers this is a key code. A good lock smith could probably make keys for this with this number.
