Yes, I attached to the metal that you see in the pics with screws. On the bracket there are plenty of holes probably for various application my guess. Only used four screws and they don't budge at all. Luckily My arms are able to reach all the way down with slight pain to run the cords.

Usually the indash DVD players connect to the emergency brake wire - most of the time it's just looking for ground or to be unhooked. Did a quick search and you have a light green wire is most likely connected to the emergency brake wire. Since it's not legal ..... a lot of people put it to a switch in the console so it can be disabled if you do get stopped.
