I purchased the MTVx biege dual 7" monitors. Well the lack of the instructions of how to cut inot the headrest, I went to the web and found a good link from truckin mag.
Installation wasn't at all hard. The biggest hurdle was actually sucking it up and making the cuts into the leather. After the first cut it was easy sailing. I ran the RCA's through the seat and to the monitors. I had to let them hang for now unitl I can find the connector plugs. I am going to split the RCA"s because I don't want to pay for the source adaptor. Still thinking about it.
Sweet! I have contemplated this for years. I too shudder the thought of leather slicing but you actually made it look very easy and uneventful.
I appreciate you posting the pics. Great job!

Also -- Where did you get the monitors ? Who on Ebay is selling... links ? I really need to get these for my 3 year old and his little sister. Mom has a full setup in her Suburban, and he's always asking when daddy is going to get a tv in his Ex -- lol
Looks good. How does the monitor mount/bezel attach to the seat? Looks like there is a metal frame in the seat back which runs all the way up - did you attach to that somehow?
How did you run all the wiring/power cables/etc? Where is your DVD player located?
Well I have the kenwood kvt-512 that has the dvd built in.
So I am in the process of locating the rca jacks to split them. I will run the rca's from the head unit to the monitors.
I will locate a good ground near the seat, and tap the power supply in the seat. My concern is that the power supply in the seat is constant(vehicle off, but able to use seat controls). I might locate a switched power supply, so I dont accidentally leave the monitors on and drain the battery.
Any ideas on how to make it so the monitor up front will play while in drive? I know your not supposed to do that.
