well all the water is out but im having a problem with the steering and now shes overheating. the steering is lose when i drive straight but fine when i do turns. i can wobble the steering wheel back and forth and it stays straight
i ran my truck for about 40 minutes around the neighborhood with an average speed of 30mph and she overheated. we looked inside the radiator and the water is flowing.

Reason: messed up
i got everything working again, my brakes were stuck and my truck was powering against them and that caused it to overheat and i replaced a few parts and tierods and everything works now
Good to hear!! But keep a eye on your wheel bearings, I had problems a few months later with them after a good dunking. May be a good ideal to repack them just to be safe as water will get past the seals.

ive replaced my hubs and im not so worried about that. and im not gonna be taking her off road for a while because i have to do a lot of long distance driving for awhile till the end of july.
but ill be posting something if something goes wrong again
Sounds to me this is one of those cases where the good truck is paired with a good owner. The truck can be dead realiable but will eventually fail if not properly maintained. A lot of guys in your situation would have sold the truck instead of getting it road worthy again. You got your truck up and running in no time flat. The fact you busted your nads getting the truck back to specs shows how much you love the truck.

Something to be proud of!
out of all the vehicles that have been on the driveway, this has been the only one ive cared most about, dont know why. just the age and what she can do.
i actually bought this truck dead. wouldnt start but i bought her anyway and the truck was missing the oil dipstick and was leaking about 40%-60% oil and the tranny was leaking badly and the interior was destroyed. now after 2 times of engine work its down to15%-20% oil leak, trany is tighter than a ticks ***. and interior... well lets just say it smells a lil moldy at the moment but otherwise its good.

Are you using Baking Soda to help take the moisture and smell? Open up a couple boxes (or more) and shove them underneath your seat. Maybe build a little box or even cut down a home depot cardboard box and fill it full of the baking soda (still in their own little boxes). My dad's El Camino was flooded by hurricaine Ike and he used Baking Soda to help take the moisture and smell out.
Seriously. Dad's elky doesn't stink or anything, and that's all we did to it (as far as the interior goes). And the water that was in his elky was a tab bit worse than plain mudder water.
