haha good try Bill, nope. i hooked my engine up to my friends tester and its performance and oil pressure has increased alot! i used to leak 40% oil before and now im at 25%. the HP was 180 and its at 193 now. whatever was in that muddy water sure helped out. but id have to say for my steering........ its still coming out milky?
How bad was the engine oil after the swim? Was it full water too?
I forgot years ago I did hang my 84 F250 4x4 in a mud hole almost to the depth of your truck. I got lucky only thing got tosted was the starter,no water in engine or anything else. That ole 300 I6 just idled along till I got pulled out. About 5 mins after I got pulled out some girls in their boyfriend's diesel chevy tried that same place, well they made it to where the water was over the dash board! Still can hear that BIG CLANK of a diesel hydrolocking.....
the engine oil was milky and i knew how to fix that with ease. i put some additive that gets rid of rust and can break lose a ceased engine (cant think of the name of the additive). when i went in its was a dead stop and all my electronics were fried. but when i got out and 3 hours of drying she started right back on up only to have my exhausts become fire-hoses.
Holy Water. I need to take my truck down there and baptize it, haha.
well it didnt do the same for some other trucks, 3 chevy's, a dodge, a yota, and a ford (sadly) all died in that hole never to be started again. One chevy was on 44's and had 16" of lift and its roof went under. I was framed out over the ledge. (hole was 12ft deep) im the lucky one

Got some info on power steering flushing from someone who has his trucks, cars, atv's, ect... under water often(liquid courage induced).
Before starting this turn the wheels fully over one way or the other.Pull off ONLY the return line of the PS pump and plug the end from the pump, put that return line hose from the steering gear box into a 5 gal bucket or something to hold at least 3 gallons. Get 2 gallons of ATF fluid and funnel the ATF into the PS pump as someone else starts engine(AT IDLE ONLY) and turn the wheels lock to lock, Use up the all the ATF and that should clear out the pump and steering gearbox.
Also a side note on how to rid water from engines, trannys ect, he said to "fill them up full of ATF fluid as it does pull water from parts and coats the metal areas so rust won't start. Start them up at idle and alow them to get upto operating temp. Just leave the oil filler cap off so you don't blow your seals out....."
So far all his vehicles that took a swimming are still running.
