I have a 1971 f-250 with a 429 BB in it. Does anyone know if Hooker headers (#6915) would fit in the truck and on the dove c heads properly? Hooker's website says they're for 1971-73 mustangs, cougars, fairlines, and torinos with 351 clevlends. However, they still seem to have the right lenght for a f-250, and I think the heads on a 351c and a 429 have the same port dimensions. Can anyone validate this or add to it?

Not sure if your "highboy" is the same layout as my 1967 F-250...but for mine, there is only one set that fits around the passenger side engine mount the right way...The DynoMax BlackJack model....number 85066, I believe....Jeg's carries them...mine's a 390...that's the same block as the 429, isn't it?

I think they're the same block, but heads may be different...idk. Anyway, Jeg's is the closest that I've gotten to finding headers that will fit, thanks. I think the Flowtech 12564 headers may work. I still can't figure out as to whether or not headers for a 390 will fit on a 429???

390 is FE, 429 is a short stroke 460, NOTHING is the same.
The front frame width is the same until 77, so whatever fits those will fit your trucks.
The 351c is a small block. The 429/460 is a big block, NOTHING interchanges.

L&L Makes 385 series swap hedders for F250 four wheel drives. Ford never placed one of these in stock so no regular manufactures make them.
