C6 fluid leak
I have a question about a tranny fluid leak. How high can you mount your oil cooler, if you mount it too high can it cause the transmission to lose fluid out of the overflow?
I have my cooler mounted in front of the radiator towards the top. I am still running the cooler in the radiator in line with the Aux. cooler. I lose fluid but it comes out of the overflow.
any suggestion, appreciated.

What are you referring to "out of the overflow?" Radiator engine coolant overflow tank? What year truck?
You should be able to mount it as high as you want - even on the roof if you really wanted to. As long as there are no leaky connections, the oil will stay in the cooler. The converter circuit has a check-valve to prevent fluid drain back.

I thought since the trans holds about 11 quarts and the remote cooler is sitting so high that some fluid would creep back into tranny and cause it to run out of the overflow.
If that is not it, then could I be overheating the fluid and causing this condition?
It is approx. the same amount of fluid everytime. I will refill it then drive, next morning same amount of fluid again.
Any help......thanks.
