Post Todo list......

So I'm putting together my todo list. the CCV mod, WW replacement and IDM mod are in progress but still on the list.

Here is what I have thus far...... Any suggestions?

CCV Mod
WW Replacement
IDM Mod
Higher Pressure Fuel Pressure Spring
Coolant Filtration Kit
'08 Diff Cover Upgrade
PCM replacement
DP-Tuner
17* HPOP
Better fuel filtration/air removal system
Fuel bowl delete
In tank Filter delete
220 Amp Alternator
Turbo
Pedestal
Up-Pipes
6.0 Intercooler
Hood scoop air intake
John Wood Tranny upgrade

Edit: I will edit this top list as people come up with things that I have not thought of that I would like to do. I will also try an keep them in the order at which I plan on doing the mods, with some minor exceptions like doing a bundle of mods at the same time.

I am also wondering if there is a trans cooler on the 6 speeds? If so would it benefit from a aftermarket cooler?

"Shifting is only as good as I make it since I have a 6 speed"

"John Wood Tranny upgrade"

I hate to sound dumb, especially since my "sharpness" isn't as good as it used to be, but what's this about?

Is John Wood doing ZF transmissions too?

There is a trans cooler on six speeds, but don't think you need to upgrade. Mine never gets above 160, thats the most I've ever seen. I'm in Texas too, gets pretty warm.

Those 3 in bold can all be done together with a good Regulated Return Fuel system.
If you could wait a little on that as well as the in-tank mods, I believe Riffraff may be stirring up something in that department before too long with a price that cant be beat.

You're on the right track though, assuming you have the 15* pump currently, instead of getting a 17* pump, have you thought about the idea of getting the Adrenaline? or one from Joey?

All of those sound good, but what is the ultimate goal of your truck? HP goals, etc?

The only trans upgrade you'll need is a big stout clutch like the Valair to hold power. Didn't you already do the clutch rod end heim joint gizmo?

I was thinking the same thing, so no, you're not sounding dumb. Well... if you are then that makes 2 of us!

Also if you're upgrading an early to late 99, then you'll also need the intake pluenms and 3" spider.

Well I was thinking of getting a better trannie when mine decides to fail but I'd like something that I know won't brake unless I'm just simply being stupid, then I should just apologize to my truck and get the trannie fixed.

Yes I did just recently get a new clutch in but it's the stock replacement. Since I didn't know anything about this truck as that time I went stock. Now that I know more I'm going to go with the good stuff.

Who makes the regulated return fuel system that clay is going to have up soon?

My HP goals are what every my truck gives me without sacrificing fuel economy. I'm not trying to build a big monster truck but I'd like to get some bang for the buck if you know what I mean. I don't mind putting some money into my truck if I have the money to drop.
I'm also looking to upgrade things on the truck that will help it last longer with fewer problems. Things like filtering the radiator, better fuel filtration and air separation.
Bottom line, just trying to make it my truck, a better truck then stock and something to bring to your house and have some show and tell with the guys.
Being able to pass aholes without question on the hwy is nice too

Good luck breaking the ZF-6 with the upgrades you have planned.

I would do the LED for the glow plugs. You learn a lot about them when you have one. It was 78 degrees last night at 8 O'clock and my truck had been sitting for 4 hours. The glow plugs still energized for about 30 seconds. It's cheap and in Idaho, I would think it woould be really useful during the winter months.

Yeah, and since Chase has YET to install his GPR led, it wouldn't cost you a thing if you just took his stuff and put it to good use!

It can get pretty cold here in Delaware too. What is this glow plug LED thing you speak of?

Next time I see you I'm gonna kick you in the nuts!

My to-do list: find time to get all my crap installed so people will stop asking me when I'm gonna get all my stuff installed, then start looking for ways to finance a trans since mine is acting up now
