and the ESOF still doesn't work! New vacuum solenoid, new auto lockers, new hubs. I am thinking there must be a broken line going down but the dash airflow is working right.

Did you replace the hub seals? My ESOF quit this winter and after doing my gears and balljoints and replacing all the front seals it works again.

Everything was new. I have to dig out my vacuum tester and test the lines. Nice weekend project.

I mean the big seal and large o-ring that goes behind the wheel bearing, were the wheel bearing units pulled?

It should be called PITA not ESOF.... It could be a small crack in on of the lines, the pump could be bad, a improperly installed o-ring.... On mine, after I replaced all 4 ball joints and all ESOF crap, it loks, but the damn solenoid won't open to release the vacuum, so they stay locked until I disconnect the air line and you hear the hiss.... I hate this system...
