clearing codes

How do I clear the codes from my truck after replacing the FIPL sensor on my '94 IDI turbo/e40d? Just unhook a battery for a few minutes like you would a car? Thanks.

What is an FIPL sensor

There shouldn't be any codes that the truck can keep bein is there is no computer to get codes from.

A FIPL (Fuel Injection Pump Lever Sensor) is basically a TPS. (Throttle Position Sensor)
