5 Volt Power Source
I know there is an electronics forum but I figured a PSD owner would know best. I'm wanting to install my new BD-Power Fuel Pressure Sender for my X-Monitor. It requires a 5 volt source. Can anyone tell me where I can tap into a constant key on 5 volt power source I can tap into either under the hood or dash? If one is not available, is there some sort of diode or power reducer I can use to cut down from 12 to 5 volts?

According to the website, you need a remote interface power supply.

Gauges usually need well-regulated voltage supplied, in this case +5 volts DC.
You have lots of 12-volt around, so why not step it down and regulate it at the same time?
Google "7805". There are three-pin regulator components available that are simplicity itself. An enclosure box, maybe a heatsink, some wire, solder, screws, etc, etc, and you're THERE!
12 volts in, 5 volts out. No muss, no fuss.
