Help in finding 12 volt key on source under dash??
Hi all, I've been trying for hours in locating a 12 volt source (key on only) to run my 2 gauges. I've look at the PTO harness and the single white wire with blue stripe above pedel. Can anyone direct me to a source wire under dash that has key on power? Thanks. My truck is a 2006 F-350 diesel. Thx
White wire with light blue tracer, and should be blunt cut - under the drivers side dash. Comes from fuse #29 is hot in run. Should be labeled customer access.
Thanks Mark! So, I should be able to tap into that white wire with blue tracer above accelerator pedel and get hot in run only? Does fuse #29 empty? Sorry for the dumb ? I see it takes a 10 amp fuse in my manual and reads customer access.
To me the biggest consideration is if the circuit is big enough to carry the amp load of the device planning to be added plus the amp load of the device that the circuit is meant for.
Bismics circuit is unused and the wire size is good enough for 15 amps contineous use, so a good all around circuit.

Hi Mark, I found this thread - can you tell me a little more specifically where the wire should be? I have only found these wires, none of them have power at key on (2003 6.0)
thanks.
While we are on the subject , anybody know a good place to attach the dimming wire (headlights on) for auxiliary gauges? I though I had found one and finished my install a while back, worked great until I went to high beams on the headlight switch and the gauge goes full bright. Really need to change that.
Possibly. I was kind hoping someone knew the wire/color of the top of their head I guess. A lot of trucks have aftermarket gauges and daylight mode is pretty bright at night.
