Tire Pressure Sensor question

I got new wheels and my TPS got broken i think bc i went to discount and they said they couldnt reset them because they were probably broken. I dont want to pay $122 a peice to fix them..is there a fuse i can pop out so that i dont have to see that light on all the time??? Please help Thanks!!

Are they the band type or shrader valve type?

They would be band type sensors....and i think your going to have to replace them...

who broke the sensors?

if the wheel/tire shop, then they are liable to replace them. The sensors shouldn't have been broken unless the shop was ham fisting them

thanks for the help...they just arent set right i guess...they worked for about two days then said tire pressure monitor fault and the air pressure is fine and went to discount to reset them and they cant figure it out. i just got a really good deal from four wheel parts on my wheels, and dont know if they are broken or just not set right..

These run off of the ABS system and do not send out a signal to the computer telling you which tire is low.

If you have a system that the computer tells you what tire is low,these will not work because the sensor in that tire is sending info to the computer for that particular tire.

If you have a system that just has a light that says a tire is low but doesn't say what tire,these will work.

Why is that every time Big Brother does something to help us it always costs more money to have? Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? I think we could call this a lazy tax.
