Cruise control not working

I have a 95 F350 cc dually. The cruise control just stopped working. It has been working just fine. I changed the cruise control switch on the master cylinder. It is the only one listed by napa. Thank you for your assistance.

Check your Tail and Brake lights including the "Third" brake light. If one (1) of them is B/O the cruise won't work. Also check the fuse.

I checked all of the brake lights, all of them are working properly. I checked all of the fuses with a multimeter and all of them are good. What else do you recommend? All suggestions are appreciated.

The only thing that comes to mind are the switches that activate the system as well as the switch that sets it.

You might also check to make sure that your brake lights are not staying on.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the speed sensor in the differential.

Have you noticed you speedo bounce around at all? I think that is one sign of the sensor in the diff giving up

The speedometer doesn't bounce, it is very steady. Please keep trying, thank you.

Yeah, it did... It's a pretty easy fix if the sensor comes out in one piece (mine didn't), it's located in the top of the third member. I went to Autozone first and they gave me the wrong part, then went to NAPA, they showed me the same part Autozone sold me, I finally ended up at the Ford dealer and they new exactly what part I was talking about and it wasn't any more money then the wrong part at the other places!
