I need to find out where I can get an exploded view diagram of the NP-208 T-case by the end of the week if at all possible. Does anyone here know where one of these can be found?
I have a 85 Bronco and was driving down the highway at 70 when all of a sudden I lost power to the wheels and I heard a bad winding-grinding noise. I just had the tranny totally rebuilt because the pump was going out and the bands were pretty burnt. But after I reinstalled everything I am getting the same winding-grinding, so it must be from the T-case.
Has this happened to anyone before? What shoud I expect when I pull this sucker apart? And where should I lok to get parts from?
Try your local ford dealer, they should be able to provide you with an exploded view of the t-case, tell them you will order the parts from them when you tear it down. The common problem with the 208 is the low range fork gets chewed up and allows the annulas gear to move around, it will cause damage.
