Manually shutting EBV valve
I was wondering how i can make it so i can manually shut the EBV valve (i know someone made a how to, but i can't find it) I want to do this for warm up. I think some do this for towing also as an exhaust brake. I remember reading about someone using a 3 position switch for this. Thanks

Is your EBPV not working when it is cold?
EBP is Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor.
Here is a schematic by JTHarvey. It is to close the EBP Valve and lock the TC. Just elimimate the TC function.
Edit: The parts list looks like Radio Shack part numbers but I am not sure.

Love mine.. Pretty much followed "kwiks version" I changed a few things but it works super. Nice when helping out the brakes on the long down hills with the camper.

Ok, so if do this mod will it still high idle by itself? I would like it to be so it turns on by itself and when it isn't on i would just turn it on if i desire.

If the mod is done correctly it will not interfere with the PCM operating the EBPV when it should.
