1997 Cali PSD....I unpluged EBV at turbo to prevent any problems in the future and now I have a check engine light on. Anybody know how to eliminate the check engine light after unpluging the EBV valve on a Cali truck? I read a 1/2 watt 470 ohm resistor between the two wires would work, has anybody done this or anything similar?

If I'm not mistaken, www.dieselsite.com or Strictly Diesel Home Page sells the plug to go on the end of that to take care of the cel. But I may be wrong. You can use a resistor, but I'd be lying if I said what ohm. I know I've read it somewhere on here before, just can't remember where.
Did you gut your Exhaust Backpressure Valve?
Upgraded your Turbo Pedestal?
Easy to install.
DO not leave your factory plug hanging with open circuit.
Built for exact fit.
OBDII codes maybe detected and logged during a diagnostics scan of specific sensors by the PCM at start, when the Exhaust Back Pressure Valve is gutted or disconnected. The provided plug eliminator (Figure 1), used will stop the PCM from throwing the dreaded code.
This also will prevent the EBV from closing. It will always remain open.
