diagnnostic trouble codes question?
i was curious to see if i had any DTC's showing on my truck so i ran scanned for any codes and this one popped up im not sure what this means. P1249 Wastegate Fail Steady State Test. What does this mean?

It could be a failed wastegate solenoid, or it could be nothing. Drive it and see if the code pops back up again. If it continues to pop up, then you have a problem. If not, then it was probably just a one time random thing. Every now and then I get weird codes that pop up on my truck too, but I erase them and they never happen again.

There is your answer. Its perfectly normal to set the P1249. Sometimes it will even trigger the SES light. If it gets too annoying, sell the superchips tuner and order a DP tuner with the "codes" tunes.
