Blue mule, If you son gets caught with a pistol and is not under your direct supervision or another responsible adult he will never be able to own one legally again. That law isn't just for buying from a dealer. It's to prevent kids from having handguns no matter where they get it from. Also if an adult is caught selling a handgun privately to a minor that is against the law. In your own house, in most states, you have the right to teach your kids about guns and all that and I wish people would dod it a lot more but noone in this country under 21 can legally own a handgun.
yup. i'm 18, can't carry it off my property. I asked a sheriffs deputy as i walked out of the gun store. dad came down signed the paper work and left. i carried it out and put it in the car and left. asked the deputy on the way out while it was on my side lol. they are pretty lax around here. my uncles the sheriff in the county where our farm is, my cousin is a city cop here, i am buddies with the assistant chief here, and the mayor and a constable. all told me not to act stupid and no one would ever know i had it in the truck...but then again get the wrong cop, pulling you over and find out you have it and its a felony i think. it will stay under my bed for now...
Stumbled across this the other day. Thought I'd revive it in the original spirit. I've been super busy with school but we got out and shot a little this weekend. This is my uncle shooting the neighbors Desert Eagle .50AE.
Desert Eagles are fun to shoot... Well they are fun when they shoot anyways. LOL. I've got a few pics and vids on my old phone.. Wonder if I can get that thing to power on again.
