i am really thinking about reloading to i got s S&W 500 magnum and it cost almost $50 for a box of 20 at the local gun store... i'd just have to spend a small fortune to get all the dies and what not i would need to be able to reload all 10 different calibers i have
i been wanting a 1911. i found a good price on a charles daly brand. they bought the old colt tooling and are made in the phillipines on colt tooling the way i get it
I had a glock 27. I think they are over rated. It jammed and I got rid of it. Now I carry a taurus .357 or a s&w .38 snubnose. Only auto pistol I still own in a buckmaster.
if you like glocks then shoot a springfield xd, dont read reviews, dont ask other glock owners..... just find someone that owns one and shoot it. you will sell the glock and buy an xd.
yes, i love my 1911. in my opinion dont waste your money on a charles daly. they are not built as well and for a few dollars more you can get a nice one. kimber's are way over priced. they shoot no different then anything else of half the price. i can outshoot kimber's with my bone stock springfield.
i was going to get the gi issue but settled on the mil-spec since i got a good price on it. 600 out the door, new in box.
here is my 1911 a-1 mil-spec from sprinfield, it has the features of the origonal and is an excellent shooter. also is a comparison of the 1911 next to my xd-45. the xd fits my hand better then the 1911 due to me being a big guy. the xd has a wider grip to accomodate the 13 round mag, yes thats right, 13+1 in a 45 that is actually smaller then a 1911.
just for sheets and giggles i made this to show how easy the xd comes apart and goes together. so easy my 4 year old can do it for me. if i had the wife awake i'd have her actually film me instead of having the camera propped on the couch trying to look through the screen while taking the slide off...lol YouTube - xd take down YouTube - xd slide assembly
no tools required, once the slide is off the springs lifts right out and then the barrel lifts off as well. peice of cake to take down and clean.
