Vin code to Rear Axle ratio Identification? Quick response please

I'm looking at a truck to buy with the Vin of 2FTJW35G3JCA52842. Can the rear axle ratio be deciphered from this info? I'm interested in a towing truck and I think the axle is a 3.55 (35 in the vin #). I already have a truck with a 5 speed and 3.55. It's on ebay, so a quick response is appreciated.

Axle ratio information is NOT in the VIN.

Thanks for the quick response. The auction ends in 2 hours and I don't think the guy will run out to the truck to check the door plate for me at 23:30 hours.

Sure was a sweet truck though. 58,000 original miles on an '88 dually crew cab XLT, 460 w ZF-5 speed. Selling price was around $3500 with 2 hours to go. It's going out of my price range as we speak also. $3700 and climbing, but it looks like an easy $5000-$7000 truck to me.

W35 in the VIN would be the 1 ton dually body...

There used to be a article on the website with some of the VIN numbers decoded. I had saved it in favorites, but when I tried to go there, it took me to index. Anyone have any good sources for vin # decoding?
