Hi ! I have some question about to mount a forward tilt hood kit on my ford f100 1956 and ho sells the kits ? All tip are welcome. Some pics? Thanks Simson.
If your an experienced fabricator, you can nab one of an old 80's buick.
you've got a beautiful truck, love the hood. good luck with the build and welcome to FTE.
I like very much the forward tilt kits that Sam is talking about, but they were too expensive for me. I went a little different way and fabbed it all myself. It works really well and I can remove the hood very quickly with the help of a friend. It also assures that the front fenders and hood line up perfectly and the gaps repeat exactly.

very cool.. just a question.. have you had yours on the road yet? any cooling problems?
the cut on the valence will allow all the air flow to go up and over the radiator I think..

Yes. I had the truck on the road as a daily driver for three years before I started this incarnation. No heating problems, even in SoCal summer stop and go. I have an electric fan (no shroud) mounted directly to the radiator. Works nice.
Nice job Randy! I like the struts better than the rollers, looks like flipping it would be easier than having it pull it out first.
lol I'm afraid I'll have to steel your idea... it's a lot nicer than most the kits in my opinion (unless of course you'd rather you had the only one). I needed a hood latch anyways, might as well do it cooler and have the option to lock my hood. Where did you get the gas struts?
Got to say if you were going to get a hood kit the CPP is easier to adjust then the No Limit kit. I've seen Randy's upclose and really like the set-up. Thats the one thing you will mess with the longest is getting the fenders to match the hood. Randy's fits perfect. You have some pretty cool mods Randy. will it be at the western nats?

Sorry, no. It is still a pile of parts. I haven't had the energy to work on it much in the past year.
I will be there, though. The Western Nats is my favorite show of the year. Fatfenders56 and a couple of his friends from Tucson will also be there. I am looking forward to it.
