I want to lower the rear of the truck 4 inches. Should I c notch the frame or will it be alright with the stock frame. 1950 f-1

Does anyone know where I can order the rear brace at the rear of the frame that ties the frame together. One side of it is bent.

i say notch the crap outta it! lol. www.suicidedoors.com is where i ordered my notch, 4 link, and air ride system for my truck. thorebeck brothers are great guys.
if you notch it, you'll have to raise your bed floor a tad.

 

Rockherman is the guy you want to talk to about this. He is about 6 months ahead of you I think, and there were some reallygood threads about this that he started!

 

c-notched my frame, easiest thing to do! figured out how mutch i wanted cut out, found a piece of pipe that i cut in half, marked and cut out the frame, welded in the c-notch, box in the back of the c-notch and your ready to go!
