steering wheel falling off?!

steering wheel falling off?!
i know that this has been discussed before but i can't find it. my steering wheel feels like is connected to a piece of licorice. any remidies?

You should fill out a signature with your truck's specs so we know what model/year you're talking about.
I just had the same problem with my truck (below), and ordered the bearings for the column from LMC: part # 5-8 here:
LMC Truck Parts - Page 123

If the column is tight in the dash, it sounds like the tilt pivot may be loose or worn.

How hard are those bearings to replace? any tricks?
I need to take care of those myself.
