Weird Noise
I have a 2001 super crew F150 4.6 4r70w 163000 miles. Runs great, shifts, drives fantastic, just started to make a funny sound that reminds me of a power steering pump cavitating, with a slight rattling noise also. It sounds like its coming from the belhousing area, cant really be sure, its pretty faint at this point. I'm afraid its the trans pump, but the ones I've had go just up and quit, so this is weird, changed the filter tonight, no improvement.
