Ok I replaced the Plate and put the Fan/Clutch back on as well.
I also put the Shroud back on.
I see where the Thermastat is too so once I'm done with this I'll remove the Alternator and the hose then remove the Mount and replace the Thermastat.
Thanks for everyones help again.

I'm just letting everything sit a bit then I'll top up the coolant.
I don't suppose I'll see a leak until its fired up though.

You already filled it??

Thought you were going to do a Tstat at the same time, no sense dumping the coolant twice.

[edit]
Nope, You probably won't till it gets hot!
Unless it's a real bad one...

I am
No I didn't fill it with coolant yet..
I have the Alternator off but can see only 1 bolt to remove the Thermastat mount...
the Alternator is bolted to a mount that can be removed with 3 bolts, does this need to be removed to see the 2nd bolt??

Stick a screwdriver through the part that sticks up and pry it out. May be stuck in there with the gasket and a bit of corrosion.

Get one from Ford or IH.

DO NOT use ones from the local chain store! You will regret it so I hear!

It should just pop out.

Good morning guys
Well I put everything back together leaving the old Stat in as I need the truck monday morning, and the Ford dealership is closed.
So I will pick up the Stat this week and drain the coolant next weekend and replace the thermastat then.
There was no corrision that I could see and it was working from what I could tell. Was just seated very good.
I'm just getting ready to head out to the shop and replace the coolant and fire it up.
I'll post from out there in a bit.
