wow! very good torque numbers. the only difference i see from the e303 cam and the crane is the duration, which im not honestly sure how much difference it would make. a little more low end would be nice but i think that combo there stacks up pretty darn well.
ok, looks like the first picture you posted is no longer coming up but i remember roughly what it said. well, ill deffinately have to run premium gas which isnt much of a problem. i was curious if you were using a stock 302 block or if you went aftermarket with it? i think i should be ok with a stock block with main girdles as well as valley girdles since some girdle companies say with them you can handle up to 650hp on a stock block.
OOPS! Deleted when I posted my motor numbers. It's a Torque monster....with very flat curve. GOOD. Here it is again, just in case. Anyway I think these are pretty close numbers as to what you could expect.
i like the flat torque curve being that its going into a very heavy car. should have no problem getting up and going. i thank you very much for running the setup for me though, since i dont have any desktop dyno software. (one of these days ill order it lol.) what software are you using because it does seem to be pretty accurate
Hey 73 FOMO i like your numbers for 70 torinos build. That sounds right . Just didn't get the other post of 400 HP with just AFR heads & 1.7 rockers & headers on a stock 302 HO. I see they did a lot more to get the HP out of it with intake & carb & alot of tuning . Lew
This was actually from desktop dyno. Again it's a good number if you put in good honest numbers, and not just numbers to inflate your horsepower. I think it's close, like I said, I've simulated other real dyno runs and have come up with very close numbers. If you read the post I made about the 400hp 302 from CarCraft....you'll notice a huge difference in torque with the stroker motor and about the same h.p. With the stroker you have over 400 ft lbs available at 2,000 rpm and flat across to 5,000..very usable. Their motor cranked 380 lb ft at 4,800 rpm...a little out of the usable range for a heavy street vehicle, but there motor in a light car.....it would still fly.

it is a fairly heavy car being a crown vic, its probably only a few hundred pounds lighter than a truck, and is a bit more aerodynamic. i really like the sounds of what this engine will do. will deffinately make a few people look twice when an old crown vic on 15'' steel wheels is overtaking mustangs with ease.
I was talking about Conanskis build . Just stock Ho with rockers AFR heades & headers ..Putting out 400 HP . Your putting that in a CV.. How many lbs My truck is only about 3800 lbs.. The CV has got to be alot heavier than a mustang coupe & steel wheels are heavy ....The lighter the wheel the better .. Lew

ill probably toy around with different wheels but thats what it has right now. ive never weighed the car but im sure it weighs more than a mustang, its a 1990 crown vic, my guess is it probably weighs similar to your truck, since your truck is the lightest one being a short box reg cab. so probably the only difference between a crown vic and a truck is the ride height/body height as well, although the crown vic is still a pretty boxy car
Yeah the areo will help you.. Any weight you can get rid of will help alot... Its easy to get the weight off a truck i dont know about a crown vic.. The cops wont race me LOL.. Lew

lol, im trying to find a crown vic station wagon front bumper in a junkyard, since they used aluminum bumpers on the wagons to try to keep the weight down so that would take away some nose weight. the battery is also going to be in the trunk for a little better front/rear weight ratio. some people on the crown vic forum i visit are pissing and moaning about me building the car like this lol.
Yeah i got the same from the mustang guys when i built the truck. I got a fiberglass front front bummper that only weighs 5 #.. It will be fun just stick with it. No one likes to get beat buy a truck or CV . Thats what makes it so much fun...Lew
