NP, I sell them all day long.... You would be surprised how many people have never filled their tanks when you ask them that question. And they wonder why tanks rust out and pumps/senders rust out and fail... low fuel levels every time.
As to the op question, the frame rail pump is originally supplied to Ford by Bosch. I think NAPA and Carquest still sell the Bosch pump, for the internal pumps, NAPA/Carter/Walbro etc would be fine, just make sure that new strainers are installed and the tanks have been cleaned and flushed. Don't forget there is one more filter on that truck in the switchover valve, it is available from NAPA for around 10 bucks. and can lead to premature falure ov both the internal and external pumps.

Thanks again for the info, Can you give me a tip in how to recognize the difference between the tanks? Also, can the trunk run well with just one tank operating?
i removed my rear tank on my 86,sealed up all the connections, and i run off my front tank only.my back tank leaked bad,and po had welded a receiver hitch on the truck so i could not get the new back one in.i'll be cutting that hitch of later and reinstalling the back tank so i have both again.so i think it's ok to use one tank.lots of people do it.
