Its done !!!! What a long road.

First of all THANK YOU to everyone that helped with parts numbers to advice. Today especially when we were not sure we had done the right thing. Thanks to all the techs that give your time freely with nothing but our extreme gratitude in return. You all have my deepest respect.

This started over 3 weeks ago. it obvious we were in no hurry as we worked on it in our shop when we had time. My brother did most all of the work and I thank him as he is our diesel mech. Had all of the parts before starting but of course I missed a gasket and has a wrong part for the water pump. All in all a HUGE learing experience. We pulled the motor as that the way he likes ot work on the engines. He likes it best when he can just pull back the hood and the whole engine is sitting in front of him. Had the heads surfaced. They took off .005. Getting close ot the edge, but they are flat. Here is a list of all the parts replaced.

It sounds great and runs great. I am so happy to have it back. Only have 58,000 on the truck so it should be good for a few more.

EGR Cooler delete
Rebuilt Oil Cooler
Fuel regulator blue spring
Intercooler pressure tested and cleaned
Intake tanked
CCV reroute
Heads resurfaced .005 off, valve job and seals

Where are the bigger injectors, bigger turbo, a/m fuel pump, RR kit? Or is that for the second part of everything? After all that, need to have some fun with it.

TeX I am happy it runs and well and that everything is upgraded. Hopefully it all stays together and I can drive it for a few years before I want a new one.

Thanks Bismic. You were a big help also. Great info and insight into the engine and its workings
