I posted earlier on a tranny problem, tranny goes into all gears fine but only foward drive gears I have are 1st, and 2nd. Their are no unusal noises coming from the tranny. Since I Know very little about the tranny I took it to:
1st- Tranny Shop- they said they took the pan down and no gunk in pan, fluid looked great, tested all shift solinoids, and said the PCM was bad.
2nd- Bought a new PCM from autozone put it in same problem?
3rd- took the truck for a second opinion to crown ford, they said theirs nothing wrong with the electrical system, and the tranny is bad? exact words were tranny internal problem.
Who should I trust? I'm into this repair so far over $250

Do you still have reverse? If so I think it could be a stuck shift valve in the valve body.
If reverse is not working, or it's slipping, it is probably a direct clutch failure. But since the first place said there wasn't gunk in the pan, I'm leaning towards the stuck valve.
Saying the PCM is bad is what most places do when they don't have a clue.
