well the pyrometer should be included with just the two guage setup and looking on the site you get the 2 guage for 399 and then you have to add the powerstroke for 30 thats 429 doesnt seem that unreasonable.
ok i got ya so what ur saying is it will read boost higher than 22? Will the dp-tuner chip correct the de-fueling problem once it reaches this psi.
[Yes you can read boost higher than 22psi. A DP or any other tuner will not correct defueling. You can install an OBA to take care of that. It is basically a regulator that is installed in the MAP line which prevents it from seeing over 22psi.
My understanding is if you install a fooler (or regulator) that limits what an AE or digital guage will read since they just report what the MAP/PCM is seeing. Correct?
yea thats what i remember seeing. What i would really like to find out is how accurate the digital gauge is on reading the EGTs and Trans temp through the computer as compared to a mechanical or analog gauge.
EGTs can't be read through the computer, there is not a sensor there. That's why he was adding the EGT analog connection (drill and tap). My understanding from above (and other posts) is that tranny temp is not measured with an automatic.
When you order the dual gauge set up it comes with a splitter so there is no splicing required.
heres the break down of cost:
Dual gauge Set up: $399.00
EGT Probe: $64.99
Ford Powerstroke Option: $30.00
Sub Total: $493.99
Plus Shipping: $11.00
Total: $504.99
So for $500 i can read basically any sensor my truck has on it. i can data log. i can G-Tech 0-60 times. i can Buzz Test My injectors. i can run a Cylinder Contribution test. And other stuff I can't remember all from a gauge. Not bad if ya ask me.
