just bought 04 than runs really bad when cold, gets better when warm but still misses and shakes some. Code p0611.. ficm is bad i'd say. I also have an 06 that runs great... can I swap ficms to help see if I also have any injectors bad in 04? I know I need and ficm but while waiting for a new one of those I'd like to replace any injectors it needs and fix the tranny. (no reverse)
would i need to swap just ficms or both the ficm and pcm from my 06, can this even be done,
problem i am having getting a new one is the turnaround time
i need the engine to run to help diagnose a tranny problem and need to get this truck on the road asap
I don't wanna spend $900 at ford then have to have truck towed in to get it programed, IH can get one for $630 and I'd like PHP or ID to program it for me but apparently ford is releasing an updated inductive heat flash and they wanna wait and rewrite their hybrid ficm tune.. could be mid may
wondering if this swap would work but dont want to damage my good running 6.0
Dont hold me to this but you can use the 06 in the 04 but you have to get ford to swap the info from ficm to the other in order for it to work...dont hold me to that but i believe that to be correct. i just replced mine on my 04....
